Lucas, you have big plans for Scharmützelsee, literally. "Beluga" will be a new tourist attraction. What's behind it?
Yes, that's right. With Beluga, we want to put Germany's favorite lake in the spotlight and create a place that invites you to switch off and where you can experience something special at the same time. We grew up here in the area and therefore know how much potential the surrounding area, and our lake in particular, offers. We want to take up this topic with our project and convey it in our very own way. We have many new ideas that we want to implement in the future to breathe a breath of fresh air into the tourism industry. Specifically, we are planning an event location on the water with Beluga, in the form of a lounge boat that can be booked for conferences and celebrations. In the evening, we transform the harbor into a cozy bar.
An exciting project that will enrich the region. Marc, how did you come up with this?
Lucas and I have known each other since school. We've organized smaller events in the past and realized how well we complement each other. The idea was born when we were working together on the waterfront three years ago. We've always enjoyed being hosts. Since we've decided to spend our future here, we now want to welcome tourists and locals as well.
Now, there are probably some readers who are already very curious. Where can I find out more about "Beluga – the Floating Bar"? Maybe even book something, Lucas?
Construction of the boat is in the final stages. If you're interested in our journey so far and want to take a look behind the scenes, you can watch the Beluga being built on our social media channels like Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok. There we're called @belugabadsaarow. We want to take people on our journey and show how such a project is created step by step. Further information, such as the opening date or the opportunity to make booking inquiries, can be found on our website at www.beluga-badsaarow.de.
