The band Zunft from the Oderbruch region has become an institution. They have been around for over 20 years with varying lineups. They have remained true to their successful formula, which regularly fills concert halls and open-air events: melodic rock music – rustic with a folk influence – and critical commentary on contemporary society.
The band, performing under the project name OSTWIND, plays songs from the rock and pop history of the GDR. They perform well-known bands like Silly, City, Karat, and the Puhdys, as well as Veronika Fischer, Gundermann, and Renft. Their repertoire is rounded out with original compositions.
