This musical and romantic comedy, with lively melodies and humorous scenes, whisks you away to a turbulent and colorfully drawn Paris of the 60s. Gaby, from the French Alps, and Andrew, an American, meet there. Gaby is fleeing responsibility; she is to marry the president. Andrew is left behind by his wife in the unfamiliar city, while she prefers to enjoy herself with French high society. What started as a marriage of convenience turns into a romance, repeatedly disrupted by the arrival of Andrew's wife, resourceful journalists, troublesome police officers, and a very affectionate waiter. Gaby's fiancé, the president himself, also shows up and wants to confront her.
