"I spy with my little eye something!"
The Museum Utopia and Everyday Life opens its doors in Beeskow for children aged 8 and up. Together with grandparents or other adults of their choice, they play "I Spy" in the art depot – and learn something about the GDR era.
Over 18,500 works of art from the GDR can be found in the open depot in Beeskow. It's teeming with stories. Children and their families are invited to embark on a journey of discovery with the curator, Almut Koch. What lies hidden behind closed doors and in unassuming drawers? What is appealing, and what is gruesome or ugly? What questions do children have about the GDR era? And how did adults experience this time? Following the visit to the archive, participants will create their own unique keepsakes together in the pavilion of Beeskow Castle, such as collages, treasure pouches, or frottages.
For children aged 8 and up and their accompanying adults. Maximum 5 teams per workshop.
Workshop leader: Almut Koch , art educator and cultural gerontologist
