Jako Trio: “Everything In Between”

Greek guitarist and Berlin resident Iakovos "Jako" Symeonidis and his band, building on Jako's debut album "Safe Place," blend original music with jazz, soul, and funk. Their new album, "Everything In Between," features compositions by Jako, shaped by his experiences as a Greek immigrant abroad, as well as pieces from the jazz tradition and arrangements of classic funk and soul songs. The music combines swing, Afro, and funk grooves with improvisation and spontaneity, allowing each piece room to breathe and unfold: Iakovos "Jako" Symeonidis (guitar, composition), Thomas Hahn (tenor saxophone), Maik Kleer (electric bass).
