The Pötschel-Knies couple booked a pirate adventure trip with HUI. They set off in a column of seventeen rubber dinghies, but drifted away after just a few minutes because Mr. Pötschel got a phone call and Mrs. Pötschel-Knies burst into a fit of screaming and both of them forgot to row. Shortly afterwards they were stranded on a deserted island in the Oderbruch. And of course she asked herself the question: Can you go on holiday with men? And he asked himself: Should couples even travel together? After all, 56% of all marriages end in divorce after a holiday trip together. But between marital crisis and desires to kill, pirate fantasies also drift past them: longings for unbridled freedom and unrestrained buccaneering.
