The day course offers theoretical and practical basic knowledge for professional and natural fruit tree care.
Why should fruit trees be pruned at all? At what age are certain measures appropriate, such as training, maintenance or rejuvenation pruning? And what should be avoided at all costs? The fruit trees on the castle grounds are also examined together, their health is assessed and corrective measures are taken if necessary.
Course leader
Mathias Bartsch is a trained nursery gardener, studied landscape architecture and has been a self-employed fruit tree carer for 18 years. He runs a small tree nursery to preserve old fruit varieties, as well as wild and soft fruit.
