Meeting point: Tourist Information

The short hike begins at the tourist information office and initially leads along the shore of Lake Straussee to the Straussee ferry. Even here, typical shoreline plants, old tree structures, and diverse habitats can be seen.
The ferry takes you across to the opposite shore, the "other side of the lake". During the crossing, expansive views open up across the water and the natural landscape surrounding the lake.
On the opposite bank, the path continues through diverse natural scenery. The focus is on distinctive trees, shrubs, and wild plants. Expert commentary makes ecological relationships understandable and brings nature to life.
A relaxing coffee break at the ProCurant café & restaurant, as well as a final stroll through the old town of Strausberg, round off the hike in a pleasant atmosphere.
