Red roses – memories of Gerd Natschinski

On October 16, 2026, at 19 p.m., pianist and singer Lukas Natschinski invites you to a concert featuring his father's music at the Arche Neuenhagen. Gerd Natschinski was one of the great composers and directors of the GDR: The operettas "Messeschlager Gisela" and "Mein Freund Bunbury" were perennial favorites, and songs like "Zwei Gute Freunde" with Fred Frohberg or "Rom-ta-rom" with Regina Thoss are still familiar to many GDR fans. Natschinski influenced an entire generation in the East with his children's and youth songs. His son Lukas continues his family's musical legacy as a pianist, singer, and composer. At the Arche, he will play his father's most beloved melodies, sing well-known songs, and share personal stories from his father's life – accompanied by numerous images projected on a large screen. "Rote Rosen – Erinnerungen an Gerd Natschinski" is a tribute to one of the great names in post-war music history.
