Alwine is not an artificial name. Alwine was a Brandenburger through and through. She spent as much time as possible in the woods and meadows. In her garden she grew fruit and vegetables, harvested them, preserved them, and made her own jams. She lived naturally with the seasons. In the summer she brought berries from the woods, in the autumn mushrooms, and she always stored them for the winter.
Alwine was the grandmother.
The country house on the Spree meadows shares her connection with the country and its people, her love for the melancholic landscape and the often lonely nature, her passion for gardening, planting, harvesting and cooking - that's why the country house was named after her.
In this spirit, the team at Landhaus Alwine wants to offer its guests an authentic piece of Brandenburg, rooted in the Oder-Spree region with its flora, fauna, cultural and culinary traditions: the Landhaus Alwine on the Spree meadows.
