The Café Luise It has been operated by the Gronenfelder Werkstätten, a recognized workshop for people with disabilities, since 2007. Located on Luisenstraße, it combines a restaurant with social engagement and offers six jobs for people with disabilities.
The café has thirty indoor seats and twelve terrace seats. Breakfast, lunch, and homemade cakes and pastries are served. From March to October, a selection of ice cream sundaes is also available.
The grounds of the Wichern Diakonie, with its historic rectory, chapel, and newly designed "Garden of Remembrance," invite visitors to take a stroll. The Wichern Hall, with seating for up to eighty people, is available for events.
