The restaurant "Am Reitweiner Sporn" has a long tradition. At the beginning of the 20th century, clubs and especially farm workers met here. Right behind the restaurant, the old Frankfurter Straße leads up to the Reitweiner Sporn, a trade route from the Middle Ages that led from Leipzig to Frankfurt an der Oder, and from there via Reitwein to Küstrin and as far as Stettin. Heavily laden carts and covered wagons struggled along the unpaved path and over the centuries a magnificent sunken road, rare in this region, was formed with fern-covered slopes on both sides.
Even today, people still like to come to the "Am Reitweiner Sporn" restaurant after work for a beer. And in the summer, groups of hikers and cyclists who come down the Reitweiner Sporn on their tour sit and chat on the terrace. The menu includes hearty dishes such as schnitzel and goulash. The dining room is wheelchair accessible. There is a special menu for children. There are darts and slot machines to pass the time. When the temperature is comfortable, you can sit on the terrace.
