A hundred years ago it was a resting place, especially for passing horse-drawn carriages, but today the house is more of a stopping point for modern motorized travelers, but also for hikers, for example those on the 66-lakes hiking trail. The old "Drei Linden" inn (only one of the three distinctive linden trees in front of the house remains) now welcomes guests as the "Restaurant Steinbeck". The house is located just 30 kilometers from the gates of Berlin, directly on the B 158 towards Bad Freienwalde and neighboring Poland.
The restaurant has 100 indoor spaces spread over four rooms. The fireplace room is popular for smaller celebrations. In the warmer months, the quiet courtyard terrace is open with 35 spaces.
The focus is on German cuisine with fresh seasonal and regional products. All dishes are freshly prepared. The hunter has been supplying the kitchen with top-quality game from local forests for years. The cakes are baked using grandma's old recipes. The fruit comes from the hotel's own garden. Younger guests can choose from a children's menu. A large selection of Mövenpick ice cream is offered (alternating between a summer and winter menu).
