Oderbruch cultural heritage sites

After being drained in the 18th century, the Oderbruch developed into one of the most interesting small landscapes in Europe. It is not without reason that the landscape was nominated for the European Heritage Label in 2020, which was awarded in 2022. This makes the Oderbruch the first cultural landscape to be awarded the seal as a cultural heritage site. The ideals and history of the EU are symbolized here in a special way.

cultural heritage sites, such as local history rooms and village museums, archaeological and architectural monuments, pumping stations or ship and windmills, churches or farms, are the essence of the landscape and make it come alive.
