The favorite viewpoint in Groß Neuendorf overlooks the historic and striking loading tower and the former port area, stretching directly towards the Oder River. Industrial history and the open river landscape are united in one vista. The spot invites you to linger and enjoy the tranquil scenery by the water. A highly recommended viewpoint for anyone who wants to experience history along the river within the expansive landscape.

The Oderhafen (Oder Port) in Groß Neuendorf was built in 1953 and served as a freight transshipment point. In 2005, the area, now known as the "Kulturhafen Groß Neuendorf" (Groß Neuendorf Cultural Port), was renovated. The core of this listed historical ensemble consists of two prominent towers: the former engine house, which now houses a hotel, and the former loading tower. These two contrasting structures are connected by a 70-meter-long steel truss conveyor bridge, which has been converted into a public viewing platform.

The three lower levels of the historic loading tower house the tower café, offering unique views over the cultural harbor and the Oder River. The tower also contains an exhibition on the history of the listed harbor facilities, a holiday apartment, and an event space. This space is complemented by an open-air area between the harbor wall and the historic railway carriages. The historic building, part of the "Kulturhafen Groß Neuendorf" (Groß Neuendorf Cultural Harbor) ensemble, was renovated in 2005. Unique theatrical evenings can be experienced in the railway carriage theater.
