At the Großer Müllroser See (Great Müllrose Lake), shimmering water meets the tranquility of a centuries-old cultural landscape. The lake reflects light and sky, forming a serene prelude to the enchanting Schlaube Valley. Opposite, the historic Müllrose Mill testifies to the long tradition of hydropower in this region. Nestled among reeds, rolling hills, and clear streams, a place of exceptional vastness, stillness, and natural harmony unfolds. A favorite view that offers a unique perspective on the watery Oder-Spree Lake District.

The 9 km circular route starts at the market square and leads along Beeskower Straße, past the town hall and the two oldest houses in the town. Beyond the lido, along the old tree-lined avenue, numerous rowboats bob gently in the still water. Beyond the town limits, the pine forest begins, with large alders and reeds lining the lakeshore. Soon, the Fischwerdel, a small island in the lake known locally as "Liebesinsel" (Love Island), comes into view. It serves as a resting and nesting ground for numerous water birds. At the rest area near the southern shore of the lake, the view opens onto the "Seeschlösschen" (Little Lake Castle) opposite, once a popular restaurant, now a private residence. The Schlaube River flows into the lake very close by.
