The Woltersdorf lock was put into operation in 1892 and connects the Dämeritzsee with the Flakensee. It is part of the historic waterway between Berlin and the Scharmützelsee and is now a listed historical monument. The surrounding area is characterized by its historical significance in engineering and offers opportunities for recreation close to nature. A worthwhile stop for anyone who wants to enjoy fascinating hydraulic engineering in a tranquil landscape while taking in the view.
