The gateway to the Schlaubetal

The Schlaubetal has long been a household name for those seeking peace and quiet, forest fans and hiking enthusiasts. Müllrose is located at the gateway to this hiking paradise. A Brandenburg jewel box with flair. A lovely little town with historical charm is hidden behind the strange-sounding place name Müllrose.

To put it straight away: As a state-approved resort, Müllrose is a lovely little town that has managed to retain the historic charm of a former farming town. The 100-year-old tradition as a holiday destination can still be felt today. Just a stone's throw from the historic market square, the Great Müllroser Lake with its beautiful lakeside promenade tempts you to linger and enjoy.

Anyone who visits Müllrose is visiting a small Brandenburg jewel box with flair. What is valuable deserves to be discovered with leisure and dedication. For example, on a city walk through the more than 760-year history with the Milorad, the historical ambassador of the small town. Or with a short paddle tour from the Kleiner Müllroser See across the Oder-Spree Canal, through the idyllic Katharinengraben to the Katharinensee.

Directly behind the market square is the oldest building ensemble in the town. Built in 1275 as a hall church, the Parish church Completely rebuilt in the Baroque style in 1746. The pulpit altar and the three bells as well as an organ on the west gallery are the highlights of the church interior.

The large brick building of the flour-producing "Oderland Mill". The mill wheel at the Großer Müllroser See is a replica and was launched in 2014.

The tranquil old town of Müllrose is nestled between the small and large Müllrose lakes. Numerous piers, two bathing beaches, an outdoor pool and a campsite offer water fun and relaxation.

State-recognized health resort Müllrose

The gateway to the Schlaubetal – “Nature is the best pharmacy”

Müllrose is not only a jewel box of Brandenburg urban architecture nestled among three lakes, with a charming historic town center and over 760 years of history. This officially recognized resort town also boasts a beautiful lakeside promenade, the oldest still-operating mill in the Schlaubetal valley, and the visitor center, which houses the Schlaubetal Nature Park Center.

The small town is above all else: the gateway to the Schlaubetal Nature Park. Here, Sebastian Kneipp's motto, "Those who value their health should make every effort to spend their time in clean air," can be put into practice in the most beneficial way for body and soul. A 25-kilometer hiking trail runs along the Schlaube River, which gave the nature park its name, from its source south of Lake Wirchensee to Müllrose. This trail has been certified as a "Quality Trail - Wanderable Germany" by the German Hiking Association.

But well-developed cycling paths also lead through Brandenburg's most beautiful stream valley, dotted with former mills and forester's lodges, rustic inns, and a four-star campsite. Whether on foot, by bicycle, or on a canoe tour, here you experience peace, harmony, and beauty in almost untouched nature. Which, as Sebastian Kneipp said, "is the best pharmacy."

Whispering here, silent there, sometimes giggling, sometimes rushing, sometimes a gentle meadow stream. The narrow path meanders along the river below the wooded slopes.
