In the Arboretum recreation area, residents and tourists find a unique tree population, relaxation and pure nature.
The arboretum is located directly on the Oder-Neisse cycle path near the Fürstenberg stadium. It was created and laid out as a park-like forest landscape in 1923. In 1927, the first exotic trees from Schwedt were planted here. There are special trees here such as American yellowwood, cake tree, flowering ash, shrub chestnut, service tree and golden locust.
The city is currently planning to upgrade the arboretum with the aim of making the site accessible for knowledge, recreation and nature again.
