The Heaven and Hell viewpoint is located in the Schlaubetal Nature Park above the Großer Treppelsee lake between Dammendorf and Bremsdorfer Mühle. A signpost on the footpath and cycle path along the B 246 points the way up. From here, a wide view opens up over the lake and the wooded shoreline. An information panel tells you about the history of the place, which was once used by the monks of the Neuzell Monastery.
On the opposite bank are a campsite with a swimming area and the "Bremsdorfer Mühle" youth hostel. Hiking trails along the western shore lead to the birdwatching hut and further to the Siehdichum forester's lodge. Also recommended are the Schlaubetal hiking trail, the Großer Treppelsee circular trail, and the Planfließ nature trail.
