Built in 1879 as a war memorial on the Galgenberg (also Wilhelmshöhe). The 26-meter-high circular observation tower (98 steps) was extensively renovated after the fall of the Berlin Wall and offers wonderful views of Bad Freienwalde, the forest and hill landscape surrounding the town, the Oderbruch and the Neumark beyond the Oder.
The observation tower is part of the Bad Freienwalde tower diploma.
