Museums
The exhibition of the Hohensaaten local history association is housed in a former stable building on the village street of Hohensaaten. Selected tools, household items and furnishings as well as documents and other evidence of the local cultural heritage are on display in four rooms. The exhibits give visitors an insight into the history of the former fishing and later shipping village. The highlight is a 90 centimeter mammoth bone from the Hohensaaten gravel pit.
Dates for events and guided tours can be found on the association’s homepage.
