Neuzelle, a "Bohemian oasis" in the state of Brandenburg, looks back on a history spanning over 750 years. The Cistercian monastery, which was founded here more than seven centuries ago by Henry the Illustrious, is today the only completely preserved Cistercian monastery in Brandenburg and the largest Baroque monument in eastern and northern Germany. After extensive renovation work, the monastery shines in new splendor and attracts numerous visitors every year.
