The visitor center of the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park (BIZ) is located in Storkow (Mark) Castle and presents the natural and cultural history of the region on three levels.
In the permanent exhibition "FUNDAMENTALLY different - from bone dry to soaking wet", visitors discover six of the nature park's favorite spots. In walk-in cabinets with lots of elements to touch and discover, the habitat types of the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park and their special or typical inhabitants are presented. Visitors also get tips and recommendations on where to find these habitats in the nature park, so that they can perhaps see some of the animals and plants in person.
In the visitor center area, the tourist information office invites you to browse in the regional shop and the staff give you numerous tips for excursions. Selected products from regional producers are a nice souvenir of your visit.
In addition, the BIZ has had an outdoor insect paradise garden since 2018. On 1200 square meters, there are various flowerbeds, an insect hotel, a wildflower meadow, a willow pavilion for events and a barefoot path.
In the Burgstübchen you can indulge in culinary delights before the nature park awaits nature lovers with great cycling and hiking routes.
All areas of the BIZ are accessible for wheelchairs, walkers and strollers. Elevator, disabled toilet and changing table available.
