Before you start, it is worth taking a look at the Great Schauener Lake, Where common terns hunt over the water and Osprey from a great height. With a little luck, the muffled call of the bittern to listen.
The tour begins in a northeasterly direction along Groß Schauener Hauptstraße. After about 1,2 km, turn left onto Philadelphiastraße. After another 1,5 km, you reach philadelphia, where the route turns left into the street "An der Fasanerie". Here we recommend a short detour into the adjacent forest, where wood warbler, Song and Mistle Thrush and woodpeckers can be observed.
An additional tip: East of Philadelphia lies the Luchwiesen, a valuable wetland. After a short walk along the Luchweg trail, numerous waterfowl such as ducks, wood sandpipers, ruffs, and lapwings can be observed in spring.
Back on the main route, the tour continues to the Lindenweg, which runs along the edge of the forest. After about one kilometer, turn left and follow the road for 1,5 km to Wolziger Weg. There, continue right until, after about 1 km, a path branches off to the left. This leads through a cool forest with Black woodpeckers and Crested Tits to Klein Schauen and on to Görsdorf-Busch.
In the small settlement you can Black Redstart and house sparrows From here, a picturesque avenue leads sharply left back to Köllnitz, accompanied by the song of nightingales.
