The Bruchsee was created when a dike broke through and is located immediately west of Neubleyen in the typical landscape of the Oder foreland. The lake is visible from the Oder-Neisse cycle path. There is a campsite in the immediate vicinity of the lake in the town of Bleyen.
At the lake, which resembles a four-fingered fist and exudes a special charm through various side bays with the corresponding flora and fauna of the Oderbruch, there are two bathing areas with open spaces and direct access to the water. Access and parking to the bathing area on the northern bank is via Gorgaster Weg.
The bathing area is checked for water quality at regular intervals; corresponding information is provided directly at the bathing area.
