The Burgberg in Lebus is an important, historical hill with the foundations of the former cathedral represented in the cobblestones.
The first settlement is documented to have taken place in the Bronze Age. During the course of its eventful history from 1124 to 1373, the castle was a bishop's seat. Today, you can see a replica of the former castle with steel elements in a 70 cm high relief and with the help of markings in the pavement. The explanations of the objects are illustrated on information boards. From the viewing platform, visitors have a wide view over the Oder to Poland. A 22 m long bridge leads to the outer bailey area, the keep and two flanking towers are visible.
The castle hill is accessible at all times.
