Dolgensee (fishing lake)
The Dolgensee is the beginning of a small chain of lakes that stretches from the south across the Kesselsee and Lettinsee to the Klostersee. The Dolgensee is fed by a 600-meter-long ditch that rises from a wetland biotope in the Ringwalder Heide and flows into the southwestern part of the lake. The Dolgensee, which is over 30 hectares in size, is completely surrounded by forest, and there is a wetland at the southern end. Here the lake, which is three meters deep on average, becomes increasingly shallower and in the southwestern corner it is barely more than 50 centimeters deep with a muddy bottom. On the east bank there is a dacha settlement, which ensures that the Dolgensee is more frequented in the summer months. The fish population consists mainly of the following species: eel, perch, pike, carp, tench, whitefish, catfish, and pike-perch. There are several bathing areas on the lake that are often used by anglers.
