Churches
Behind the church, you can let your gaze wander far into the flat Oderbruch. Theodor Fontane's father Louis Henri is buried in this prominent spot.

You have to look closely to see the button on the church's tower roof. Old documents about the church are stored in the soldered metal ball. It was built in 1770 as a colonists' church on royal land. On the square south of the church is the grave of Louis Henri Fontane, the father of Theodor Fontane. From here you have a wonderful view over the Oderbruch. In addition to church services, the church hosts the "Zur schönen Kirche" series of events every year, with choir concerts, readings and theater performances.
