As early as 1604, a clay-timbered church, a daughter church of Grano, stood in Pinnow. For almost 300 years, it offered Christians a place for reflection and worship until, in 1899, the parish finally decided to build a new church due to its dilapidated condition. Construction began ten years later, in 1909. The present Pinnow village church was built according to the design by building inspector Büttner from Berlin-Steglitz and F. Hoßfeldt, as well as the construction drawings by building inspector Erdmann from Guben.
