Owl Tower

Observation towers
The 13-meter-high wooden owl tower (54 steps) was built in 2003 to mark Kurt Kretschmann's 90th birthday and replaced the previous "wobbly tower" on the grounds of the House of Nature Conservation. The almost two-hectare show and educational garden with more than 1.000 plant species invites you to linger. The house and garden were founded by Erna and Kurt Kretschmann, the creators of the well-known nature conservation owl. From the tower you can see the Oder glacial valley all the way to the Polish border.

The Owl Tower is part of the Bad Freienwalde Tower Diploma.
