Ratzdorf Bicycle Church

Churches
The Ratzdorf Church is one of the few places of worship that were built during the GDR era. A tower was built on the former old parish barn and the interior was designed accordingly. In recent years it has been lovingly restored and is now one of the region's gems. Guests are welcome to take a break from everyday life in the exhibition and cyclists' church.

Ratzdorf is located directly at the mouth of the Oder-Neisse and is a popular destination all year round. Thanks to its location, the small town can look back on a very special history. When you take a walk through the former boatmen's village, you can see and feel the maritime flair. The church also has a very unusual history. In 1958, a small, modest church was built from an old parish barn. When the border was established on the Oder and Neisse, the people of Ratzdorf were cut off from their old church in Kuschern, which they had previously reached by ferry.
