The Film Museum "Children of Golzow" is dedicated to one of the world's longest long-term documentations, which followed the life paths of children from the village of Golzow in the Oderbruch from 1961 to 2007. The exhibition impressively illustrates the social changes in the GDR, the time of reunification and life after reunification.
In 1961, with the enrollment of the "Children of Golzow", a film chronicle began, which provides deep insights into personal fates, dreams and challenges in 19 films and 18 individual portraits. The museum, which was redesigned in 2008, presents biographies of the protagonists, photos, documents and letters as well as the original editing tables of the filmmakers Winfried and Barbara Junge. All films are available in the museum and can be viewed or purchased. In addition, numerous rolls of unpublished material are stored here, which are still being processed for the chronicle.
