Findlingspark Henzendorf

gardens and parks
The Findlingspark Henzendorf is located on the edge of the Henzendorf Heath in the Schlaubetal Nature Park. Over 4 boulders, pagan deities, and runic tablets have been artistically displayed on an area of 2000 hectares. Nestled in the heath landscape, an impressive ensemble was created here in the early 1990s, inviting visitors to linger, stroll, and picnic.

The open-air exhibition features worked and unworked boulders, as well as sculptures, reliefs, and figures created by artists from Poland and Berlin based on Celtic and Hittite models. An information panel provides information about the project, which was initiated by sculptor Ulrich Thiel.
Especially during the heather bloom in August and September, the expansive view across the purple heath landscape is impressive.
