The Heath Riding and Forestry Museum The museum, located in the old schoolhouse, documents Dammendorf's long tradition as a center of forestry. Exhibits include the work of the Heath Riders in the service of the Order of St. John, the time when the Prussian Forestry Office was in operation, and forestry until 1990. The museum is managed by the Dammendorf Local History Group, which also offers guided tours.
A supplementary local nature trail with ten information panels provides information about historic buildings and their significance for the village and forestry. A 5-kilometer-long forest nature trail opposite the former Royal Prussian Forestry Office introduces the wooded surroundings and forgotten trades.
