Heimatstube in the Community & Club House Briesen (Mark)

The exhibition in the local history room contains around 1000 exhibits from all eras. The historical archive materials alone are very extensive. There are 150 different postcards, 5200 documents, 900 copies of old files and documents, 350 class photos and over 4000 photos. Thousands of newspaper articles from 1839 to 1990 and all newspaper articles from 1990 onwards are archived. The church registers from 1670 onwards are also available in full as a file, as are historical mortgage books from Kersdorf and Briesen. In addition, there are almost 600 files and materials as original copies from state archives. A real treasure trove for researchers of local history.
The local history room is open to visitors during opening hours and is free of charge. Please always make an appointment by telephone.
Guided tours, even outside opening hours, are only possible by appointment and are subject to a fee.
