Erkner station was opened on the Berlin – Frankfurt (Oder) route in 1842. In 1928, Erkner became the terminus of the now electrified Berlin S-Bahn. old S-Bahn railcar hall from the 1920s now houses the collection of historic railway vehicles built between 1925 and 1979 of the Historical S-Bahn Association eV
Over 20 carriages from more than 80 years of Berlin's railway history can be seen here. Fans will find a large selection of S-Bahn souvenirs here: from books and various postcards to mugs and pins and even track plans of the Berlin S-Bahn network.
Groups of visitors can visit the railcar hall with its elaborately restored museum vehicles on special occasions and upon request.
The railcar hall is located in the center of the city, right next to the regional and suburban train station. The central bus station is directly opposite. From here, the central Friedrichstrasse and other sights can be reached quickly.
