The Kalkberger Church in Rüdersdorf impresses with its architecture made of regional limestone and its neo-Gothic style. Characteristic features are the lead-grey walls, the artistic stained glass windows and the striking, slightly protruding tower with a tower clock made by the clockmaker Roehsner.
Designed by Friedrich August Stüler, the church building was inaugurated in 1873. Despite severe damage in April 1945, which was initially only repaired provisionally, the church was extensively renovated from 1991 onwards. The building has been a listed building since 1998 and is considered an important example of regional architecture.
