Podelzig church ruins

Historical monuments and sites
The viewing platform offers a fantastic view of the Oderbruch. The church tower is the burial place of Konrad von Burgsdorff, an important Brandenburg-Prussian military officer.

As Theodor Fontane described in his first novel, the church ruins of Podelzig are a striking landmark at the southern entrance to the Oderbruch. The church tower contains the burial place of Konrad von Burgsdorff (1595–1652) - an important military man and politician of his time. His magnificent coffin is on display in the Neues Museum in Berlin.
The viewing platform on the church tower offers fantastic views of the Oderbruch - an ideal starting point for further discoveries.

Information about this can be found on the information board in front of the church.
