Landhaus Bad Freienwalde

castles and parks
In 1788/90, on the orders of King Friedrich Wilhelm II, the famous architect Carl Gotthard Langhans built a particularly magnificent bathing and lodging house for distinguished visitors to the spa. At the time, it was called the "Fürstenhaus" and only later received the name "Landhaus". The Landhaus served very different purposes throughout its history.

In 1993, an extensive restoration of the building began. Since 2002, the house has served as a spa center for outpatient spa treatments, prescriptions and self-payer programs (e.g. Bad Freienwalder Moorzauber). The primary remedy is the local natural mud, which is administered as a mud bath, mud pack, mud treading or mud kneading.
