From 19 onwards, the half-timbered house from the 1892th century provided accommodation for people in need in Letschin. Household items, tools and furniture of the kind used in earlier times are on display. The history of the village is also explained on picture and text panels. Another exhibition room illustrates the relationship of the young Theodor Fontane to his parents' house in Letschin and to the Oderbruch.
