gardens and parks
Another park designed by Peter Joseph Lenné is just a stone's throw away in Frankfurt (Oder), if you cross the street Halbe Stadt at the northern end near the Creator's Monument from Lenné Park. Lienau Park was named after the former city councilor and wine wholesaler Martin Michael Lienau, whose villa was the reference point and the center of the park. It was laid out by Lenné until 1845. The villa was demolished after the Second World War.

The core of Lienau Park is a listed building and is currently being reopened to the public in small steps. The monument erected in 1861 in honor of Lienau, an obelisk made of white marble, and a monument to the socialist writer Erich Weinert are artistic elements of the area. This gem consists of more than 160-year-old antler trees, a Ginkgo biloba from 1844, and black pines. Lienau Park is one of the many parks in the city of Frankfurt (Oder).
