The Malche, the Malche Mission House, was founded in 1898. For 113 years, women, and after 1989 men too, were prepared here through theological and educational training for the preaching ministry in the Evangelical Church in Germany and worldwide. The church training is continued in the Malche in Porta Westfalica.
Malche is also a place name and means a valley located between the Oderbruch and the hills of Barnim, the center of which is a park-like garden with old fruit trees and flowers. A church and six residential and guest houses are grouped around the garden.
The Malche has been a community that supports people since its founding; spiritual offerings, table fellowship and mutual support in everyday life are all part of it. Guests are always welcome! Guided tours are possible.
The Malche is located near the cosmopolitan city of Berlin, only about an hour's drive/an hour's train ride away.
