The sun sinks behind the roofs of the city. Day gives way to night and darkness slowly descends over the houses. People go home and the lights go on in the windows. The streets become quiet. But then figures dressed in medieval costumes appear at Storkow Castle (Mark). Companions of the Night gather to stroll through the streets of the small Brandenburg town together with their guests.

On your way with the night watchman you will meet some very strange characters. In the courtyards and at special places, little stories are told and acted out, just as they might have happened hundreds of years ago. The curious visitor learns a lot of interesting facts about times long past. Moritates about a former mayor and knightly ballads amuse the people, but there are also thought-provoking stories about the hard life in the Middle Ages.
