Oder ferry Aurith - Urad

Since 2024, a ferry (fee required) has connected the German town of Aurith with the Polish town of Urad, located directly adjacent to the Oder-Neisse Cycle Path. Hikers and cyclists can easily cross the Oder River, the border river, and explore the other side. Between the fixed border crossings in Frankfurt (Oder) and Guben, the ferry connection enriches the border region and represents a milestone in tourism development in the Oderland. The cycle path network connects on both sides of the border, making it easy to (re)discover the other country.
The ferry runs on weekends between the beginning of May and the end of September, but only if the water level of the Oder River allows it. 

For shipping police reasons, the ferry connection is only possible within the following water levels of the Oder (Eisenhüttenstadt):

• Minimum water level: 230 cm
• Maximum water level: 350 cm
• The current daily water levels can be accessed online and on the Schlaube Oderland eV website.
