Public Night Watchman Tour Beeskow

During this public night watchman tour you accompany the night watchman and his companions through the alleys of the historic old town of Beeskow.

The path leads along the old and still well-preserved city wall with its towers. At the furthest corner of the city, the executioner waits and gives insights into his work.

In front of the former monks' hostel, where even Theodor Fontane once stayed on his journey through the Mark Brandenburg, Mother Triebke looks for her cat and is persuaded by the night watchman to reveal her embarrassing story.

The atmosphere is cheerful during a short rest in the drying tower. Here the brewmaster personally pours a fine tipple, talks about the tradition of brewing beer and the drinking parties of old times.

The night watchman then leads us through the churchyard past the mighty St. Mary’s Church to the “oldest house” in the city.
