The Bomsdorf Estate Park It impresses with centuries-old oaks, copper beeches, silver poplars, and ash trees, as well as idyllic ponds that lend it the atmosphere of an enchanted forest. Winding paths lead through the protected landscape park to the gravesite of the last village owners. The park unfolds its special atmosphere, especially in spring, autumn, and winter.
Bomsdorf was first mentioned in documents in 1310 and was the ancestral seat of the Knights of Bomsdorf. The manor house, also called the "castle," built in 1731, was extensively renovated in 1999. The farm buildings, built from fieldstone around 1700, were also lovingly restored. The estate park borders directly on the estate and blends harmoniously into the hilly surroundings.
