Schinkel Tower Letschin

The Schinkel Tower in Letschin is what remains of the church built in 1818/1819 according to the plans of Karl Friedrich Schinkel.

​This church was the center of the town for 125 years until it was badly damaged in 1945. Afterwards, a church ruin stood in Letschin until it was demolished in the 1970s. The 37 m high church tower was preserved and is called the Schinkel Tower. It was secured, renovated and restored between 2002 and 2004.

​Today there is a small exhibition about the church and tower on the ground floor of the tower.
