Schwerzkoer Mühle

The Schwerzkoer Mühle is one of the most popular destinations in the region. Of the 6 mills that the small Dorchebach once powered, it is the last functioning mill in the romantic Dorchetal. It was first mentioned in documents in 1420 and closed down at the beginning of the 20th century. The listed mill was extensively restored at the end of the 20th century and has been open to visitors ever since. On special occasions or by appointment, you can watch the sawmill working and boards being cut from a thick tree trunk. During this time, you can learn a lot of interesting facts about how the sawmill works and the history of the mill.

Right next door is the MühlenklauseAt "Sägemüller's Stammtisch" you can enjoy a typical regional snack or homemade sheet cake. The rustic ambience and the warmth of the millers make this restaurant so distinctive.
Hiking and travel groups, birthday parties or company anniversaries of up to 80 people can be entertained in a rustic atmosphere with coffee and cake, hearty goulash, bread made with mill lard, fish or seasonal dishes at Sägemüller's regular table. In the beer garden you can relax and listen to the splashing of the mill wheel and enjoy delicious regional drinks and food in the shade of the trees.

Im mill shop Freshly baked mill bread, Neuzeller home-made sausage, smoked trout, Lower Lusatian ceramics, wooden goods and other souvenirs are offered.
