Gusow fire station

Historical monuments and sites
The firefighters work as volunteers in the villages during fires and disasters and also create important social village cohesion.

The volunteer fire brigade is an important part of the village. It is not only available to fight fires and other hazards, but also creates village cohesion. The fire station was built before the hose tower was erected in 1912. In addition to housing firefighting equipment, the building also served as a local prison. In 1938, district council member Paul Bettge was imprisoned here because he did not vote for the NSDAP in the Reichstag elections. A street in the village commemorates him.

Delicious rolls and pastries are available in the nearby traditional bakery.
